Letter 7 Hello Richard, Thank you for your last email concerning the weight of the 18ct in the aquamarine+diamond ring. The ring (plus ear rings) were valued for NZ insurance replacement purposes by Mr Kennedy Blair. Besides being a Registered Jewellery Valuer doing valuation he creates and makes jewellery to order. He is 'semi-retired', and found the ring beautiful. He had only good things to say about the stones and the ring, so please pass on his compliments to the person who made my ring. He also enjoys aquamarines and said this one is an excellent gem. So our thanks for your good taste or your buyer's taste. The stone does talk, if that makes sense. For me the stones talk/vibrate and make you feel good. I find many gem stones are dead, even though they glint. I feel you know what I mean. Des does. BTW, Mr Blair also liked the quality of the diamonds in the ear ring. Though they are a similar price to replace in NZ, the style is not one you would ever see here, nor that quality of stone.
